General information
The CT motion contrast medium injector expanded with new SPICY features
The ulrichINJECT CT motion SPICY is a version of the renowned CT motion contrast medium injector from ulrich medical that has been expanded with valuable functions. It is used for the automatic administration of contrast medium and saline solution during a computer tomography (CT) examination.
Your CT workflow has never been easier
How can efficiency be increased and patient comfort improved in CT, even during special contrast agent examinations?
Everyday work in CT is often characterised by time pressure, which makes it difficult to provide intensive and personalised care for your patients. Especially during special examinations, such as cardiac examinations, it is often a challenge to work efficiently and stress-free at the same time.
Spice up your workflow with CT motion SPICY
Flexible management of contrast agent densities

The CDadapt function enables automatic reduction of contrast agent density (e.g. for cardiac examinations). At the same time, costs are reduced through lower contrast agent consumption.
Reduced time expenditure through automation

Thanks to automatic media label recognition via barcode reading and automatic data transfer of NaCl and contrast agent parameters to the PACS and/or data management system, manual steps are no longer necessary. This saves time in documentation and reduces sources of error. This function is an extension of the ulrich medical RIS/PACS interface.
Optimised media supply

Compatibility with 1 litre of contrast medium provides an ideal media supply for high patient throughput. A total of 4 litres (2 x 1 litre contrast medium + 2 litres NaCl) can be provided. The integrated warming function ensures improved contrast medium viscosity and increased patient comfort.

ulrich contrast medium injectors have been used successfully in radiology practices and clinics for many years. Their user-friendly operation, outstanding quality and proven hygienic safety have won over countless customers worldwide.
Roller pump system

ROLLER PUMP SYSTEM ENSURES SAFETY, EFFICIENCY AND FLEXIBILITY
A smooth and, above all, time-saving examination is the basis for an optimal workflow. The patented roller pump technology enables injection directly from the media container, reduces the cost of consumables and allows for quick patient changes when the examination workload is high.
+ Patented roller pump technology
+ Direct injection from all commercially available media containers
+ Variable bottle guide from 50 ml to 1000 ml
+ Automatic patient-side air monitoring
+ Tandem function for selective selection of a second contrast agent when using two different contrast agents
+ Seamless function for alternating between full contrast agent containers when using two identical contrast agents

Increased pressure and flow performance

For examinations with high flow rates and high contrast agent viscosities, the injector offers increased pressure values of up to 22.4 bar for improved pressure and flow performance.
Residual quantity indicator

The easy-to-understand traffic light display and clear presentation of the available media volume, including a precise ml display, enable an efficient workflow. You also save money, as contrast agent waste is minimised.
RIS/PACS Interface
Integration of the CT motion contrast medium injector into RIS and PACS systems
The RIS/PACS Interface software option is used for the simple and comprehensive integration of ulrich medical contrast medium injectors into healthcare IT systems using the DICOM standard.
- Comprehensive, fast and standardised documentation
- Reduced sources of error thanks to automated data transfer
- Safe, simple and efficient to use
Comprehensive integration of contrast agent injectors into healthcare IT systems
How can I ensure comprehensive and rapid documentation during contrast agent injection?
Documenting contrast agent injections is often a time-consuming task in everyday radiology practice. Secure and comprehensive transfer of injection data is important in many respects. Quality standards must be met and patient safety ensured.
Manual data transfer often represents additional effort and a potential source of error. Interfaces between the devices used can automate processes, allowing you and your staff to concentrate fully on the essentials.
The ulrich medical RIS/PACS interface enables the automatic transfer of injection data to the PACS. This optimises CT workflows and ensures data quality.
Powerful solutions for your everyday work in CT
Secure documentation

Standardised documentation and automatic data transfer minimise the risk of manual input errors. Intuitive workflow guidance also supports safe use.
Easy patient selection

Patients are selected simply via the DICOM worklist. Once the media used (NaCl/KM) has been assigned and any additional parameters specified, the appropriate injection protocol can be selected. Once the injection is complete, a contrast agent dose report is automatically transferred to the PACS and/or dose management system.
Intuitive operation

The user-friendly operation via the workflow navigation bar on the touch terminal is extremely simple and intuitive.
SYNCopen
Interface between ulrich medical contrast medium injectors and CT scanners

The SYNCopen interface between the injector and CT scanner enables precise and fast contrast agent scans with a single-button start.
- Time savings thanks to simplified workflows
- Convenient and reliable workflow
- Quality assurance through automation
Optimised CT scans thanks to interface between injector and CT scanner
How can I save time when creating CT scans with contrast medium while improving image quality?
Manually transferring data during a CT scan with contrast medium often represents additional effort and a potential source of error.
Interfaces between the devices used can automate processes, allowing you and your staff to concentrate fully on what is important.
The ulrich medical SYNCopen interface is based on the international CANopen standard and enables the automatic exchange of injection parameters and protocols between the injector and the CT scanner. This optimises CT workflows and ensures the quality of the injection data.
The solution
Quality assurance through automation

The automatic transmission of injection parameters from the injector to the CT scanner reduces sources of error. Data exchange takes place in real time. In addition, the data can be transferred directly to a PACS system. The associated clear assignment of integrated CT scan and injection protocols supports patient safety.
Optimised image quality with single-button start

With just one push of a button, both the injector and the CT scanner can be started and stopped simultaneously. The precise synchronisation of the CT scan and contrast agent injection not only simplifies procedures, but also improves image quality during the examination.
Convenient and reliable workflow

The provision and display of injection protocols directly on the CT scanner improves your CT workflows. This saves you unnecessary trips and allows you to keep an eye on everything important.

In addition to the mobile stand version, the CT motion is also available as a ceiling or wall version.
Advantages:
- Space-saving
- Easy floor cleaning
- Wireless installation
- The wall mount offers the advantage that it can also be installed if the room height is too low for a ceiling mount. Even if ventilation pipes would have to be installed at great expense for a ceiling installation, wall installation offers a more cost-effective alternative.

Verbrauchsmaterial
The well-designed consumables for the CT motion SPICY consist of just two parts: the pump tube and the patient tube. Thanks to the approved 24-hour use of the pump tube, the injector only needs to be refilled once a day.
- Ready for use for 24 hours in just a few simple steps
- Quick patient changes
- Economical use thanks to multi-use concept
- Increased safety for patients and users

Ready for use in 24 hours with just a few simple steps
How can consumables support contrast agent examinations in labour-intensive everyday work?
Everyday work in radiology is often characterised by time pressure, which makes it difficult to provide intensive and personal care for your patients. Ideally, the technical equipment used to support your work should therefore facilitate your workflows and require as few steps as possible.
The consumables for contrast medium injectors from ulrich medical help you to do this and enable you to organise your workflow efficiently.
Thanks to the 24-hour approval of the pump tube, set-up is quick and easy. Preparation for each new examination takes only a few seconds. Many steps are eliminated, saving you time and money.
This leaves you more time for what is important – reliable contrast enhancement and caring for your patients.
